Co-ownership regulations

The co-ownership regulations set the rules by which a building runs: use of the units, use of the common parts, split of charges.

They are drawn up by notarial deed and bind all co-owners, and tenants where relevant. They may, for example, forbid a professional activity or regulate pets or short-term letting.

A buyer should read them before committing: they may limit plans for the home, such as opening a practice or letting it furnished.
