Sale mandate

A sale mandate is the contract by which an owner instructs an agency to sell their property, setting the price, the duration and the agency's fee.

It can be non-exclusive, when the seller remains free to sell privately or through other agencies, or exclusive, when a single agency handles the sale for a set period.

The mandate also states what the agency undertakes to do: valuation, photos, advertising, viewings, follow-up until the deed.
