Klimabonus
Klimabonus is the Luxembourg State's aid programme for the energy renovation of homes and the use of renewable energy.
It supports wall, roof and window insulation, heat pumps, solar panels and ventilation, among others. The amount depends on the works carried out and the energy gain achieved, often with the guidance of an energy adviser.
For a buyer, Klimabonus is a practical argument: a property with a poor energy rating can be improved with part of the works funded. It is best to find out before starting, as some aid requires a prior application.
